A 7-day itinerary in Ogliastra
A week is the right amount of time to actually walk: gorges, coves reached on foot and southern Ogliastra.

With seven days you can place the demanding walks early in the stay, while the weather is still a manageable variable, and keep the lighter days for the end.
Day 1 — Arrival and orientation
The Lotzorai plain, Santa Maria Navarrese, Pedra Longa in the late afternoon.
Day 2 — Cala Goloritzé on foot
The descent from the Golgo plateau. Dawn start, proper shoes, access booked in advance.
Day 3 — Gulf of Orosei by boat
The coves that are unreachable by land: Cala Mariolu, Cala Sisine, Cala Luna.
Day 4 — Gola di Gorropu
A walk into the Supramonte. Avoid during and after heavy rain: a watercourse runs through the gorge.
Day 5 — Ulassai and Su Marmuri
The cave on a guided visit, the climbing crags, the village and the works of Maria Lai.
Day 6 — Jerzu and southern Ogliastra
Terraced vineyards, then the Cardedu coast and the pebble beach of Coccorrocci.
Day 7 — A free day on the coast
The beaches of Bari Sardo or Tortolì, the market, the Red Rocks at Arbatax before leaving.
