A 5-day itinerary in Ogliastra
Five days allow you to add what makes Ogliastra different from the rest of the island: the limestone tacchi and what lies beneath them.

The structure stays the same as the three-day version, with two inland days added in the middle of the stay. Alternating coast and interior spreads the weather risk and reduces fatigue.
Day 1 — Arrival and the plain
The beaches of Lotzorai, the pine grove, a first sense of the local geography.
Day 2 — Gulf of Orosei
Boat excursion to the Baunei coves, returning to Santa Maria Navarrese.
Day 3 — Ulassai and the underground
Ulassai: the village beneath the wall, the Su Marmuri caves on a guided visit, the works of Maria Lai across the village.
Day 4 — Jerzu and Gairo
The terraced slopes of Jerzu and the emptied houses of Gairo Vecchio, abandoned after the 1951 flood.
Day 5 — Goloritzé or Golgo
Either the walk down to Cala Goloritzé, with access booked in advance, or a day on the Golgo plateau.
